Creative Celebrations & Hen Party Workshops at Kokutan
If you’ve been reading about seasonal flowers and wedding planning, you’ll know how special it is to work with flowers that are grown with care and in tune with the seasons. But flowers aren’t just for weddings, they’re for celebration, creativity, and connection too.
If you’re planning a hen party, birthday, or baby shower this year, why not make it about more than a meal or a night out? At Kokutan Flower Farm, our bespoke workshops offer a creative, hands-on experience that your group will remember long after the day ends.
Hen Party Floristry: Make Your Own Flowers
Imagine gathering with friends in the glasshouse or cosy house at Kokutan, surrounded by colour, scent, and seasonal inspiration. Together, you can learn to:
Hand-tie bouquets
Make flower crowns to wear on the day (dried or fresh)
Create buttonholes or small arrangements in bowls
Pick your own flowers from the farm for your designs
It’s a chance to slow down, try something new, and enjoy the simple joy of working with your hands. And of course, tea, coffee, and your own cake or fizz are welcome. The day is as much about connection and laughter as it is about flowers.
Bespoke Creative Workshops with Allison Sylvester
We also offer tailored workshops for hens or other celebrations with artist and printmaker Allison Sylvester. These sessions can be shaped to your group and your interests, and might include:
Designing wedding stationery, such as place names or invitations
Making delicate paper flowers to adorn hair, wear as buttonholes, or create everlasting corsages
It’s a thoughtful, hands-on way to create something unique and lasting, whether it’s part of a celebration or a personal keepsake.
Why a Creative Hen Party Works
Hen parties don’t have to be a whirlwind of nightlife or stress. Making flowers, crowns, or paper creations is:
Relaxing and absorbing
Inclusive, no matter your experience
A beautiful way to create lasting memories together
Plus, everyone leaves with a keepsake, something they made themselves, a little piece of the day to take home.
Planning Your Workshop
Our group workshops are fully bespoke, designed around your needs, and your creative goals.
We require a minimum of eight participants.
Whether you’re celebrating a bride-to-be, a birthday, or just love getting creative with friends, our workshops are a chance to slow down, enjoy flowers in season, and make something beautiful together.
